These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the BuddyCare web and mobile applications (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Beta service
BuddyCare is currently offered as a beta. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued without notice, and data handling practices may be refined as the product matures. We appreciate your feedback and patience while we improve the Service.
BuddyCare is not veterinary advice. The Service organizes and presents information maintained by you and your veterinary clinic, and some content is drafted with the help of AI. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary examination, diagnosis, or treatment. If your pet has a medical emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- Clinic accounts are provisioned for authorized clinic staff; owner accounts are created by invitation from a participating clinic.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of applicable law.
- Access or attempt to access records or accounts that are not yours.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to probe or circumvent its security measures.
Your content
You and your veterinary clinic retain ownership of the records, photos, and documents you submit. You grant BuddyCare a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service, including generating AI-assisted summaries and insights for your review. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by BuddyCare and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the BuddyCare name or logo.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuddyCare will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms or harms the Service or its users.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
